“The Secret Life of the American Teenager” is a great show. It is about more than teen pregnancy, although that is the main topic of the show. It shows a great example of what high school is like. It shows the drama, clichés, and the speed at which rumors spread. I found myself being able to connect with a lot of the things that were going on in the show. I think the directors have done a great job at capturing the way teenagers think and how they behave. I also believe that the show was given the perfect name. “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” can, like I said before, stand for more than a pregnant teenage girl. Most teenagers keep many things about their lives a secret, no matter what they are hiding; there is always a secret somewhere. I watched about five episodes of this show because it pulls you in and makes you wonder what is going to happen next. It keeps you guessing and it keeps you entertained. I understand why this could be someone’s favorite show. I found myself having pity for some of the characters, getting angry at some of them, and even totally disliking some of them. The show messes with your emotions (girls in most cases). I would definitely recommend this show to anyone heading to high school or anyone wondering what the high school life is like. It isn’t like most of your soap opera teen shows and it actually gives good morals at the end of each show. I don’t watch a lot of television and this is a show I would actually take the time to sit down and watch. “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” is a show that could continue to run on air for a long time because you are always going to have different problems to face in high school. Please check out this show sometime! It is great and you will definitely enjoy it.
